the news from the coming Nuremberg Toy Fair is arriving slowly, Brekina is the first to come in with a few surprises, of which the Jeep Wagoneer in '63 and '66 versions (with the 'rhino' and 'razor' grilles resp.) are a great addition to 1:87 Jeep models!

Dear All:
Ohhhh........... I will want these!!!!! If I am not wrong,no one did these at the major scales;and if my fuzzy memory is not wrong, there was a toy version that I was looking for.
Good news there!!

Stan,
If I'm remembering correctly, Neo did the Grand Wagoneer from later years (the '80s?) with excellent detail and the ubiquitous wood paneling. The version that Brekina is doing is from the early '60s. It looks really nice and features BOTH of the grill variants. So exciting! The model appears to be styrene and it looks like Brekina has gotten the width of the A, B and C pillars correct. That's a hot button with me as many of the recent 1:87 die-cast replicas model them way too thick.

Brekina will also produce the Wagoneer based Gladiator.

Received my Brekina Jeep Wagoneers today. I ordered the blue one with red interior, the white one with red interior and the red one with black interior. Has anyone taken one of these apart yet? I don't like the red interior with the blue exterior so I want to swap the black interior from the red one with the red interior from the blue one. Red with red interior and blue with black interior seem to me to be more common color combos from the mid 60's. But, I don't want to damage them and I don't see how they come apart. By the way, on close inspection, I notice the red and white ones have the chrome Jeep hubcaps while the blue one has chrome plated steel wheels. Absolutely love the luggage rack on the roof of these Jeeps. May have to buy a couple for parts to use those roof racks on other station wagon models.

Dear Tony: I am aware of the later Wagoneers;they even did the later Wagoneer pick up,which before it,only existed as a large remote control vehicle which I have. My point was about the first generation of it - NEO's is a later generation - no one did it except for that toy model. I am also happy about the Gladiator. Nick K

There was a Gladiator too. A whitemetal kit from DJH/Western Models/IHC at the time
