sorry fellers, not much of an update. wifes been in hospital and haven't gotten much accomplished. been working at restraunt a lot more last few weeks too. some of the help has proven a little less than reliable. here's what i have to offer though. put on some square and sanded a piece of round into a D and put on top for the blower. just roughing it in now. much easier to sand/file/carve attached to block. block/tranny at least gives me a handle to hold onto them. cut out the back of the blower housing as it should be on a BBC. adding the beginnings of a timing chain cover and also patching a bit of a boo boo in the oil pan area. while this drys for a few hours, i'll begin carving on a flathead 6 or possibly a flat 4 model A motor. not decided which yet.

finally got some more done on 454 this afternoon. began on water pump. this began setting pretty good so i went ahead and glued in some water jackets to connect the back of the pump to cylinder heads. yup, there is actually a gap between the jackets and the timing chain housing, although it will probably disappear once it is all painted.

thank you sir. heres last update for this evening. began shaping water pump/jackets. then went n looked up some google images. well, cover me in feathers and call me a opossum. i blew that one. now that i've calmed down i'm thinking i might be able to save it by adding a bit more plastic and turn the mess into a plate style front motor mount. my eyes are crossing so badly right now, i'll research it tomorrow. here's the last pic for tonight. Antoinette (my 6yo partner in crime) DEMANDED that we paint the trailer tongue red. So I let her do it. Yup, she's got a few boo boos in the paint but who cares. she was worried about it but i set her mind at ease. told her we can touch it up tomorrow. she's happy with that idea. no need to fret over a piece off plastic.
