Finally got to do some work. I have posted to a few pages on facebook. Since I finally have something worthwhile to contribute here, I figured I'd sign up and post. Doing a slow rebuild on a jordan kit I built over 25 years ago. Never had the heart to throw it away since it was my first jordan. I am finally giving it a face lift. BiLLy bOb got drunk one night and wrapped his 40 ford around oak tree. After a few weeks in the hospital recuperating, decided he's going to rebuild it pro street style. chopping the roof at least 4 inches, tubbing it for 33/21.50/15 pro comps with a honkin big block...

bit more progress. while letting glue dry on the pro street, figured i'd build BiLLy bOb a trailer. Since his drunk shenanigans, BiLLy bOb was left wheel-less. He had to baree (borrow) paws ol 40 and use his trailer to pick up his rebuild parts.

was time to get the ol trailer ready for the road, gotta go get speed parts. maybe this time the *corn water*drinking fool might remember to latch the ball, last time out, idiot forgot to latch it and lost da trailer ripping the safety chains off. now i gotta put new ones on! now the fun begins. 8 pieces of 2.5mm square styrene stock glued into a rectangle. give it a hour to dry and go after it with a dremel, jewelers files and some SHARP Xactos and a bit later later this will evolve.

given a few hours careful carving and this is the result. experimenting with toothpicks for a A frame using hot glue, CA glue I bought here in Philippines doesn't dry at all. put some CA on a wood wall i was working on, 2 days later it was still liquid. so using hot glue/glue gun now. sorry bout the HUGE blobs of glue. hopefully they will clean up. if not, only 15 minutes shot in it. don't zoom in too far for a big pic, ((you've been warned)), A frame looks like regurgitated, lumpy baby burps. wasnt happy with valve cover on #2 bank (pass side), front got filed more than back causing ugly slope. in pic got a few pieces of .030 styrene drying so i can sand and reshape them.

Why didn't you use white glue on the wood? That's made for it. Welcome sa forum.

Sorry, I didn't tell y'all I am recently retired and relocated to Philippines from US. The closest traffic light is litterally, 60+ minutes drive. I can get some glues locally in town, but their just as questionable as the elmers I got. Bought a bottle of CA glue a few weeks ago, it doesn't dry at all. i have a bottle of ****elmers***** (((labeled as such at least)))), i used it to attempt to build a rustic wood fence out of toothpicks, 2 days later, it still hadn't dried. don't know if it is some knock off white liquid labeled as elmers, or if it was a truly bad bottle of elmers? I was mostly playing around with the glue gun with Antoinette ((my 6yo and pertner in crime when it comes to my hobbies)). got a little table in town today. finally have my own little corner in the bedroom. at least until my hobby shop is done. 28x40 with 10ft walls. orange van is aluminum foil. don't now if it will get incorporated or not. got out some model sprue's and built a proper styrene A frame and chain hoist this afternoon.

done a bit of painting to the 40 tonight. very limited on paints, so ended up using silver to simulate bare steel. not liking it though. The orange aluminum foil van is now purple. Antoinette ((my youngest daughter and partner in crime)) decided she wanted a purple car. that is after she wanted a yellow car. made a yelllow car, she changed her mind and then wanted purple. been a long time since i painted anything this small. interior looks kinda rough. also turned the dash up a bit. steering wheel doesn't belong in floor.

Got a little more filing done. Was making some progress at outlining the valve covers then a big chunk, ((almost a 1mm )) came out. So that pretty much stopped me. Had to glue in more styrene. You can see a *big* chunk hanging out the front of the head on the #2 bank. (pass side) still looking like but its coming along slowly but surely. giving it a test fit for grins and giggles.
