Hello Ron: Thanks for the update and I am looking forward for the long awaited models. Can you just clarify what is in this shipment? Only the Crew Cabs or there are some other models or accessories? Thanks and best regards

Ron,
Thanks for the reply. At least it seems like there is no tooling damage or paint scuffs according to your comments. If that is fine, then it'll be a Happy New Year! Who knows, maybe a few models will sneak through the last week of December.
Take care, Vito L.

The shipment arrived about 2-weeks ago, and everything was unloaded last week. I wish that I could advise that the products will be in distribution before Christmas, but a variety of packaging problems will add to the ongoing delay. Loose blisters, missing SKU numbers, incorrect barcodes, and other problems will have to first be corrected. We are currently setting up a work area in our warehouse across town, and training a few workers from my other company to perform the work. We should get everything sorted out and prepared next week, which is a short one due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, and start to effect the needed corrections the following week. Once the models are repackaged, we will ship them, but I expect this will take us several weeks to rectify the problems. Ron Ron, At least we're getting much closer, and the models are actually in the States now. Thanks for the update and ongoing hard work to bring these to us. Happy Holidays! Tony F.

Ron,
Amherst is coming up next month, any chance we'll see pre-production shots of the E-series vans soon? These vans (both cargo and passenger versions), will be the highlight of 2014 for me.

Well, the Amherst Railroad Show is over, and of course there is no news coming from either RPS or the 1/87 Vehicle Club website. No news is BAD news in this business as far as I'm concerned.

Vito, I'm guessing that the models are still at the warehouse and the corrections are being made. I didn't think it would take this long, either, but hopefully Ron and his team are nearing completion with the monumental task of making things right. I'm anxiously awaiting 3 models from RPS that I've had on preorder from Burbanks since last June!

How about the accessory packages? Is there any idea if/when they may be reissued? Several (mostly the wheel and mirror) are no longer available.

The new models are finally hitting the stores! Burbank's House of Hobbies is supposed to get their shipment today. I've had a few vehicles on preorder from them since last July. I'm looking forward to finally receiving them in a few days or so.

The shipment has arrived at Burbank's. Some models didn't get shipped, though. The 2-pack white utility caps are one of the items that didn't make it. Not sure what happened with those.

According to Mo87, RPS is going to release a service body based on the crew cab. Pictured is a Union Pacific version, with a bucket attachment. Looks very good, although I see 2 different colors on the cab and the body for the yellow striping. I'm sure this will get corrected.
If this truck is indeed coming out soon it will a major positive for HO scale collectors and model railroaders. The last service body done in assembled plastic was by Trident about 35 years ago!
