I'm looking for the strongest glue/adhesive that will dry clear. I'm also looking for a really strong gel type glue/adhesive. Just looking to see what everyone recommends?

Try Aileens tack glues, several varieties. Don't know how strong. Also E6000. Both at Hobby Lobby here and no doubt many other craft stores.
I've used "Fix-it" made by the super-glue people (though it is a silicone glue). It's held together what I've used it for; though I can't vouch for how clear it is or how strong it is the long run. Available at many Dollar Stores.
Surely others will have recommendations too.
have fun, Swamp Daddy

Niteryder,
There is a craft glue named "Sobo Glue" that dries clear and I've used it for years to glaze windows in structures and vehicles, with no "hold" problems.
You might also try Weldbond - it is very strong and dries clear, too.

I also use Sobo for fixing 'glass' in place. A trip to the hobby shop might find you some "canopy cement" if they sell any airplane kits which dries very clear, is strong and would be my first choice. As a last resort, plain old white wood glue does a fine job.
