RPS have updated their site, at least he officially announces the Masterpiece models without pictures. They are also looking how far the development of the RAM 1500 has become...

RPS is the best thing that's happened to 1/87 scale model cars in a very long time, but that's just my opinion. I figured that Ron was a perfectionist, but it was just clarified when I read the article. It's nice to know that someone cares about attention to detail!

Bill,
Thank you for your efforts over the past year to get Masterpiece and RPS together. What a great combination! You were right, the best news for me didn't come from Toy Fair, it came from Amherst, and I can't wait for all of the new models to come out under the RPS name later in the year.
Now, if we can get the Expedition tooling from Ricko and into the factory of RPS, we will have some more great SSP models to buy. 2011 has the potential to be a great year indeed.

I received information from RPS yesterday that the Ford pickups with the caps are due out in November. Two caps will be available, and I'm assuming that they will be sold with the pickups and not seperately, but I cannot confirm this. There was a delay in getting the license updated, and a change in agencies resulted in a several month delay on all Ford products, is what the e-mail stated. I'm also assuming that these pickups will be the 4 door version, but I cannot confirm this, either.
At least it's something to look forward to from RPS.

Masterpiece is still represented by Busch in Europe. Is that goïng to change now?
I wonder what will happen with this construction. RPS is repesented by several others.

JM82 The crew cabs are indeed the 4-door variants. Some of the trucks will be sold complete with caps, as appropriate. The caps will also be available separately, but only undecorated. Watch for all the new SKU numbers to be posted soon.
DutchArt RPS will be the license holder of Masterpiece's North American prototype vehicles. Since those models are being licensed by RPS and we will be paying the licensing fees, those models will only be available as RPS models through RPS channels, including in Europe. Masterpiece's European prototypes are not affected, so I would surmise that those models will continue to be distributed under current arrangements.

New info on RPS' website concerning the Ford F pickups with crew cabs and caps:
"Decorated" long pickup box dually with contoured cap: MOW White Bright Red Bright Red-Fire Department
White "Decorated" Crew cab with long pickup box (single rear wheel) and utility cap: Medical Examiner Animal Control
Crew cab with long pickup box (single rear wheel) and contoured cap: MOW White Black Silver Metallic Dark Stone Metallic
Ron, if you happen to read this, will the red fire department Ford pickup have the same graphics package as the fire department Battalion Chief Expedition, as far as the white and yellow striping? Will they match?

And apparently the Ford fire department pickup will have the same graphics package as the Battalion Chief Expedition, which is great because one version of the Ford Type II and one version of the Type III ambulances are slated to match these 2 as well.
