The new Norev Citroen DS3 looks spectacular I also love the herpa models and the Neo Saab looks really good, although I don't like the part where the softtop and A-pillar meet, because it looks like one piece.

Thank you Albert for the spectacular photos.
I also love the DS3. The Rickos and Masterpiece models look fabulous as expected and the Zonda Spyder is much anticipated.
Disappointing about the CMC models though.

Thanks Albert for the wonderful photos. Of the new offerings, I especially look forward to the Spark Audi Quattro Sport and the Masterpiece Bugatti Atlantic. I'm sad to hear that the Ferrari license was not renewed for Red Line. I really was hoping Red LIne would produce a Ferrari 288 GTO in 1/87 at some point. Oh well.

The second thing, Neo. I am somewhat surprised that after such a long time, we see only the Saab and a near to complete Mercedes ready. They seemed to have had such a long time to develop and produce the models confirmed last year but only have one (and nearly another) to show. 1/87 isn't Neo's main area of business. It's 1/43. And their planned releases at that scale is enormous : something like 5 or 10 new releases per month. Add to that special limited editions. And a new range of 1/18 models, also made in resin. With that in mind, I think we can consider ourselves lucky to see their first 1/87 castings finally ready.

Albert,
Thanks for the great photos and I have to say I like what I see from Neo. That Saab looks very good; now, will it be sold in the US?
Please let us know how the agricultural pieces look from Schuco if you can get back there. They have 2 new John Deere models coming, and I can't wait to see what they look like in HO.
I was also hoping for a few new paint schemes on the Masterpiece step van if that's coming for 2010. A re-issue of the van only in white would be excellent too.

Thanks Albert for your feedback and the great pictures. I hope you enjoyed yourself at the fair. I would think its pretty awesome !
And yes agree with exiv96, it is lucky to have NEO in 1/87 and great that they have arrived. BUT... I would not want all their announcements and then we find that delays, costs, economic climate, poor sales, competition, too much announced and not enough resources etc etc, to result in a withdrawal or a reduced range to result. If they promise to deliver what they announced initially then I am happy to wait, but I am getting a little concerned as initially we had models coming out in June 2009 and due to the economic climate we have seen what has happened to many other announcements in the 87 scale marketplace. I am so looking forward to their models and that is why I am anxious that they deliver what they announced. We don't need any more disappointments.
Thanks, Gary

Albert,
To add to what everyone else has said, thanks very much to you for the fantastic photos from the Messe! You got them to us so fast, it's wonderful.
While there wasn't much announced, the models that are presented here are exceptional. It's good to finally see the nice Neo Scale models. The Saab Cabrio is one of my favorites. Herpa's 5 series and Masterpiece's Bugattis are also standouts.
Stay warm in Nuernberg!!!

Norev's DS3 is already available. A member from the french forum has bought it at "C42", Citroën's showroom on the Champs-Elysées in Paris.

The biggest issue with Neo Scale Models is that you never know what you will get. You can receive the best but also the worst from them.
I do have some models in 1:43 by Neo :
- a few are really great great models
- but some batches have great issues with quality : - parts come loose - stains of glue on the windows - bad paint - crooked detail pieces
Well I really look forward for these nice models often never done before.
But do to my experience with the 1:43 models ( mainly the Volvo's ) I am rather carefully.
