Let´s begin with part 8. This was the last post of the part 7. No, I do mean the XF. My mistake is that it is by Welly, not Schuco Wayne Calder

Hello: Hmmmmm? The Brand new XF is selling for less than a buck? May I ask where did you buy it at? Regards

That's why I thought it was the XK originally, possibly being a closeout on the Malibu line that Wayne bought at some train show. Now, at 1.00, it's time to fess up! Where in the world did you buy that XF for only a dollar? I'd buy quite a few at that price, that's for sure.

The guy I have purchased my Welly and Shuco pieces from is an eBay guy in Hong Kong. He had these two companies' new releases long before they hit anyone elses' shores. He sells under the name darlingland. Here is the rub - I noted today that he is no longer registered as a seller on eBay. This was a huge shock as the number of people who had left him feedback was 9032, with a 97.7% rating. Hopefully he will return, even if it is under a different name. His postage seemed high, but considering he sold the older Shuco / Wellys for 1 cent, the $7 for shipping was not bad, especially given the amount of gas / petrol I used to use trying to track down the latest Malibu releases!

Purchased a Riverpoint Ford F350 Pick Up in kit form off Ebay. This is my first one, as I wanted one in kit form and could not located one. This is a "Perfect" kit. Outstanding

I found a solid cast Glas 1300 Coupé and I am wondering if this is the model by Oestmann. I suspect it is, but I'm not really an expert on the topic. It has a little fish on the bottomplate and a little number that may say something like XI84, it's really hard to read that properly. Anyone know more?
A few weeks ago I also found something strange in a second-hand model shop here in Berlin, a body only for a Miber Lancia Delta in red plastic. The other strange thing apart from the color is the headlights... the model has two gaps where they should be. Seems like this was made to fit clear cubic headlights. The body seems original the way it is as far as I can tell.

Peter,
your Glas is an Oestmann model indeed, the fish symbol is Reinhard's 'trademark'. The model was first released in 1985 under cat# 022.
Your Miber Delta intrigues me, I have never seen or heard anything about Delta's with separate headlights. Can you post some pictures of the model ?

After a long about trip from Washington through Montana, I ended up on Truck Stop Models doorstep in Wyoming. I was just like a kid in the proverbial candystore...only better as the I spent four hours talking with the Aikens! I found some really neat stuff on the shelf (not listed on the website, you'll have to visit them!), new Masterbilt parts, and some of the latest releases from Athearn, etc. I ended up leaving with more than I bargained for (but the wife was okay), a couple of Ton trucks, Brekina, Rietze, and an A-Line/Athearn F850 stakebed undecorated kit.

Dear All:
I would assume that Wal Mart is giving up the range, so I paid $1.00 for a Norscot which supposedly sells at $9.97.

With the 2 message boards and 3 forums that I belong to, it is becoming a challenge for me to post pics of my recent stuff. I have added an album to my Facebook page (just look for Wayne Calder) that has a pic of what is on my workbench, what has just come off the workbench and some recent purchases. The "What's on my workbench?" pic will be updated at least once a week. You do not have to sign up to be my friend (you're welcome to if you want) as those albums can be viewed by anyone, but you will need to get a Facebook page going (it is very easy and you can basically just put up your name if that is all you want to give). Just got Bentley Continental GTC and GT today. They are both beautiful! Be forewarned, though; the GTC I received is right hand drive.
Altogether flawless renderings of the real thing apart from aggressive screwing of the subject onto the base which jams the wheels way up into wheel wells and flattens the tires; a gripe I still have with Spark/Redline.
Even the faux mahogany and gauges are awesome! Paint is stunning, favoring the dark green metallic of the GT.

RPS Explorers came today from BHH! Unbelievable!
A couple of things that jump out at me (positively):
The headlight assemblies so truly capture the multi dimensional attributes of the real thing, it is nearly impossible to determine how they were engineered. This is truly a marvel and should be noted by all manufacturers.
The window tinting also is remarkably accurate; lighter for windshield and two front doors, heavier for the rear windows. Well done!
I continue to be impressed by the paint RPS applies. The metal flake is so much closer to scale than the ridiculous tin can lid sized flake on current Herpa and Wiking cars. The satiny sheen of the paint also makes the trucks more believable in scale.
The only disappointing thing: inside rear view mirrors are moulded into the windshield "glass". But I almost feel silly pointing this out.
I think Ron, et al, should be commended for his pursuit of impeccable quality standards; in my view the highest in the industry! I simply can not wait for the next RPS vehicles to come...

I feel like the RPS Expeditions are a bargain when you can buy them under 20.00. They are clearly museum quality models and the best that RPS has made yet. The inside of the side view mirrors has been improved where the silver can be clearly seen. I can go on, but Todd pretty much summed it up nicely. With out a doubt, one of the best HO models I have ever purchased, and I've been in HO for 34 years.

RPS' quality is so incredible that I can't even bring myself to moan about the fact that they only issue models that have no interest for me. They're so good that I have bought eight of them nonetheless. RPS' spare parts/accessory supply is also something others should follow - imagine being able to buy Spark/Redline's amazing wheels en masse!
I ordered Spark's Ruf CTR "Yellowbird" a while ago but accidentally had it delivered to my old job, so haven't actually seen it yet. Very impatient though!
