I have an answer today and they hope to show their first sampels at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in february 2010. This is fantastic news, and I'm sure that Marc will be able to provide an excellent profile of them! Let's hope that they have brought most, if not all, of their 1/43rds down to 1/87. I, personally, can't wait to see the Saabs and Volvos. Tony F.

Jan Scholten writes that Neo has weighed their options and decided to abandon the plastic plans. The models will be made from resin instead (implicating a price increase) and some samples will be ready for Nuremberg.

A pity to read that, but like many other projects it sounded too good to become true.

The good thing of course: there will be models from NEO! The project hasn't been stopped. I think the new approach is a good thing: limited and therefore more exclusive models of exclusive cars in as expected the same quality as those from Spark. JanS
(By the way: Spark will end the Redline-series, they didn't renew the Ferrari-license as they found it too expensive)

Oh yes, of course it is a good new to know that Neo will have those H0 models, even being in resin. But the first informations we had were much better. Well, in two weeks we will know

I'm happy with resin. Better a resin Saab 99 in the hand than ten injection molded ones in the forest.
And I also want Neo to stick around for a while, I love their choices.

this message is for Jerry and Lee of Cutter's Miniature Castings. Do you build finished models of your cars? Thanks, John Mc Devitt

I must say that the Saab 900 Convertible doesn't look very nice to me. It appears bit bent and molten. The rims are nice, maybe it's best use will be as a parts car for a Wiking conversion.
But I know that this is their very first effort, I won't demand perfection right out of the gate. That's for RPS to do.

Taking into account that the model shown is said to be a pre-production sample (and the final model will feature an open top) I am kind of hopeful. On the other hand, the molten look that you describe is something that plagues some of their 1/43 models as well.

On the other hand, the molten look that you describe is something that plagues some of their 1/43 models as well. Yeah, I saw that too. Hopefully things will improve. The Pininfarina Benz master looked much better, but there are two major caveats: 1) It's the master, not the finished casting 2) I'm nowhere near as familiar with the original as I am with Saabs
