Hello all. I was wondering if there were any references out there for prototype vehicle interiors? The reason I ask is because I recently purchased an EKO Dodge Dart that I thought would scrub up well for my collection. The trouble is, having not seen any real Darts, I'm not sure what the interior looks like. As you may well know, the EKO models don't have interiors! I'm looking to get an accurate representation of things like the shape of the dash, the stitching detail of the seats and colours, etc. Any ideas?

For the Eko Dodge Dart, the best is to search through google I would say. But here is a link where you could find some small pictures of the interior www.foundationpc.com/cars/63to66.htmlAnd more about the '66 Dodge Dart here www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2_itemId=38540&g2_page=2You'll see that to make your Dodge Dart looks better, you should modify the sides of the body too. On the Eko model, the door handles are not where they should, which is a rather easy modification to do.

I was considering purchasing this model so that it could represent an Australian Chrysler Valiant VE. I don't know if it is wishful thinking, and if there is too much modification I'll just have to wait until Weico brings one out (hopefully?) Here's a picture of the valiant www.flickr.com/photos/doctor_keats/190697731/

The Australian Valiant VE series had 67-69 style Dart front sheet metal, though the grille and front bumper were unique to the Australian Valiant. The cowl, windshield and front doors were also shared with US Valiants and Darts of those years. The roof rear doors and everything to the rear of the car was all sheet metal that was unique to the Australian Valiant. Starting around 69 with the VF and VG Valiants, a two door was offered. The two door VF and VG was a 69 Dart 2 door hardtop from the cowl all the way back. But in those years, the entire front clip was uniquely Australian and none of the front sheet metal up front was shared with the US Dart or Valiant. If you start with the Lonestar/Tuff Tots Dart GTS convertible, you could use the front sheet metal for the Valiant VE, and you could use everything else to make a VF or VG coupe. But, unfortunantly, for the rest of each car you'll be on your own. As for the 66 Dart, it's windshield and cowl, and doors would be shared with the 63-66 Aussie Valiants, but none of the other sheet metal, including the roof, was used on any of the Australian cars. The 63-66 Aussie Valiant wagon was nearly identical to the US version, but the Aussie Valiant sedans were more unique to Australia. As for the 66 Dart by Eko, it may be missing the round headlights because the 1:1 66 Dart continued production in Spain till the early 70's. While the 66 Dart made in Spain, looked identical to the US Dart, by 69, the Dart in Spain had rectangular or square headlights.
