Cool!
There was a Swedish kid's tale about a cat without a tail, and that's the nickname these cars got.
Too bad development wasn't finished before these were built, or Standard might have lasted a little longer than they did.

Agree with skunk, cool!
My first memory of that car in 1950, is one with exactly the same color as the car above. They were extremely commen in Sweden, but far after VW and Volvo. Unfortunately they were eaten away by rust very early.

"Pelle Svanslös"! They weren't known for their quality, heavy rust being only one of many problems, along with chassis failures and shocks falling apart. The Vanguard was one of many British products released before development was finished, with predictable results.
