Has anyone (but me) ever found themselves with a set of wheels and then built a car around them? I made a rather spunky VW T2 pickup only because I had some red Herpa Borbet rims lying around.

Starting from the ground up is the norm for me. I often have a set of wheels/tires that inspire a vehicle. All too often however, end up having more vehicles than I have satisfactory wheels for. I wish we could talk Busch into selling wheels as an accessory. So many of them look good on so many different vehicles. The Chevrolet pick up for instance, has a very nice set of wheels that really look appropriate on 40's and 50's American cars. I also recently recieved the '64 Mustang rally piece and the 5 spoke "mags" look terrific on the Williams Bros. '64 GTO.

A request has already gone in to Busch to release more wheels as accessory items.

I already mentioned that the wheels of the Caprice and Crown Vic are the real thing besides the ones that Chester mentioned above. The light goes thru the Wheels of their MG - spoked as the real issue - how about that for realistic?

My little brother got one of those MGs when he was nine, and I can tell you that those lovely little rims dont stand up to a whole lot of abuse... I think I might convert this TC into something else - any suggestions?

Worth mentioning that Jordan Miniatures is willing to send out the wheel sprues for anything that they make. They charge $1.00 per for shipping only. Skunk, How would the Ford A model spokes look on your TC?

Definitely worth a try. How different is the TD body from the TC?

How different is the TD body from the TC? Not very. It's a bit wider and the fenders are shaped differently, that's it basically plus the added bumpers. You don't need spoke wheels for the TD though. Oh, and Busch is very accommodating with wheels. I am sure they will consider offering more of them seperately.

Yeah, I was thinking that the Brekina Wartburg wheels would suit nicely. Any better ideas?

I talked to John from Athearn today at the Long Beach train show about selling the truck wheels alone. His answer is not right away but they probably will in the future. John also mentioned that anything to do with trucks they consult with Bob Johnson.
