On July 19, 2008 at the National Model Railroad Association's National Train Show in Anaheim, California the '20s & '30s Modular Model Railroad received two awards. The overall layout earned First Place while my individual module received Best of Show. I've posted photos on my employer's blog at maisto.wordpress.com/2008/07/22/187-models-but-not-from-maisto/Before you hold your nose and say "oh no, not trains!" the photos primarily show 1:87 models. They range from Masterpiece and Ricko factory-assembled to Jordan and Sylvan kits to resin models from Cutter and Greg's Garage, among others. Among the scenes are a Packard dealer and two gas stations, all pre-WWII. My screen name here is "Zed" -- my real name is Charles.

Charles, Thank you for posting photos for those not so fortunate to attend in person. It looks like there is a wealth of detail and activity to capture attention. Your scenes and vehicles look great. It is nice to see 30's era modeling where "modern" vehicles and trains look new.

Congratulations Charles on what looks to be a wonderful set of scenes. I see a lot of terrific little stories going on there and very well done. I would certainly have liked to have seen them all in person.

I have seen a number of them in person and the detail and workmanship is exquisite.
