Roskopf makes a model of a 1920s MB omni bus with RHD while Marklin makes a very simular model that is LHD. Can anyone explain? (Is there a better, more closer name than omni?)

RHD vehicles were rather common in Germany back then. It was not until the 30s that the LHD position had been agreed upon I think.
Bus is short for Omnibus - either term is correct.

Dear Sirs:
Matchbox did a conventional Scania truck in the 1980's and it is as the same size as the Herpa one. However, there is a difference:the Matchbox type,I think,is based on the Australian model because it has a roo-bar type bumper at its front but I am not sure if it is RHD.On the other hand,Matchbox International pumper falls on the 1/90 scale because is fairly shorter as compared with the Boley one.

Dear Sirs: In order to help with the prototype/model discussion,I can suggest the following sites: www.autoindex.org info and photos from vehicles from all countries. Is an excellent source of info. busexplorer.com info on buses and new articles about these vehicles at all times. The new topic is about British Double-Decker buses;plenty of photos. www.anzwers.org/free/policecars a site about police cars, has an special entry on Chrysler Police cars and from several countries;door badges are shown.

If anybody is interested in creating 1/87 US Police Car prototypes below is a fantastic website. www.copcar.comThis site has numerous vintage photos. The search engine within the site is very good. Do a search on 1964 Studebaker and you will see one of my cars. Joe

Dear Sirs:
And since this issue is up,one can say that Walthers Crown Vic was not very faithful to its prototype; I was told that Herpa's Alpine and Ford Taunus was not that faithful, either.
Other models may suffer the same problems.
