Thanks for the pic, Cor. Always nice to see what the finished models look like and what a raw casting has been turned into. I like this one although the colors look a bit glossy for my taste.

Very nice work on the Scania Cor. It must be very rewarding to know your castings finish so well.

Three candidates that could be seen on my workbench thread are now finished. If you like a casting, have a look in the tradezone section. '62 Plymouth Sport Fury: Looks absolutely staggering in real life, the picture doesn't give justice. My best paintjob so far, and the chrome isn't that wiggly looking. '64 Chevy Impala: Made in cooperation with nickvosges who did the master for the body. I feared that the color would lokk to modern on this but once the chrome was applied, everything looked fine. '65 AMC Rambler Coupé: Exactly the same as the rare Minix model, but in true 87th scale. Note sure about the exact model type, Rambler Classic 660? 770? Hard to find pics of the coupé on the net so I figure it was rare in real life. Any experts?

I love that Plymouth Sport Fury. I forgot all about that styling gimmick Chrysler used in the early 60s. The Valiant compact euro styling was about 30 years ahead of its time. The Fury is quite hansom and totally different from Ford and Chevy at the time.

Super Peter, I like the Chevy in particular. Color choices were very nice on all too.

Peter,
All three look excellent. My personal favorite is the Chev because I like the prototype. The lines are captured very well. The green color could easily be seen on a low rider or a custom. Chev applied a similar bright green to Camaros in about 68.

Just a little touch up on an old Wiking Saab. A little paint here and there and some wheels from the Schuco Alfa Spider Fastback: The pic is a little older already, I put on some Herpa tires that fitted the Schuco rims in the meantime

Peter, I gotta give it to you for always finding the correct wheels for cars. Would have never occurred to me to use those wheels anywhere, but they look exactly right. Actually, upon closer thought, those wheeltrims clash with the Turbo spoiler, but I guess that a 25-year old Saab may have had some parts switched or perhaps it's on wintertires. It just occurred to me that a 1:87 Toppola would be awesome! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toppola

Sorry for the delay in posting but I have been busy. I received 2 each of Peter's castings 3 weeks ago of the Chevy - Rambler - Plymouth. The castings are very clean with very good detailing. The detailing on the Plymouth is just fantastic, words do not do it justice. Thank you Peter for offering these castings for our use.
Now I need the time to build them.
To answer your question about the Rambler model designation, according to my Fifty Years of American Automobiles Guide the Coupe you have cast was only offered in the Classic 770 line.
Thanks again, Dwight

Actually, upon closer thought, those wheeltrims clash with the Turbo spoiler You're right, of course, but so does the original Wiking beige. I tried to match the wheels to the lame color, the Turbo parts are from the second owner who inherited the car from his grandpa and didn't have the money for new wheels or a paintjob. I still have a few untouched Saabs, maybe I'll do a real basic model one day. Like I said, this is only a quick touch-up of the standard Wiking model.
