Enjoy it I did, also. I especially liked the 1964 Ford F150 and that Promotex 1955 Chevrolet.

Love that KB8 Dave, and I know that model isn't the easiest to do a nice job on. Your photo pages are filling with some very nice stuff. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Thankyou all for the kind comments. I'm glad several have enjoyed. For me viewing and discussing models is an enjoyable pastime on this messageboard. I have many times viewed the albums of others for enjoyment or to decide what models to buy.
Chester - glad you like the International KB. I consider it my best truck model. It belongs to a logger hauling pulpwood out of the north woods. Do you recall what color International painted the bumper?
Greg - glad you like the pickups. I wrote a few comments about the 64 Ford, at the top of page 2 in this thread. The 55 Chev is the Promtex rubber casting in their original green paint. I have found that acrylic paints work well on these, however solvent enamels (Floquil, regular Testors) stay tacky forever (or until they rub off onto something valuable) unless overcoated with acrylic.
Cheers, Dave

Dave, I can't remember seeing, nor do I have pictures of any KB model with anything but a black bumper. Of course that hasn't stopped me from doing them in chrome. I put the Walker IH KB8 I have against the Imex KB8 and you would be amazed at how different they are in size. The Imex piece is huge. And I always thought it was, at the very least, to scale. The Walker (now On-track) is much more prototypical especially when you look at the windshield area. That green you did is perfect on it.

Chester, Thanks for the info. I will be painting the bumper on my International black. Maybe there is a prototype for the chrome bumper. I found an artist illustration of a KB 8 with Chrome bumper and grille in a book I have on 1950's automobile advertising. It was a 1948 Saturday Evening Post ad from Intenational. The truck and trailer ( line the On-Trak trailer) are solid red with a fictitous van line name. Your KB 8 tractor is a beautiful model. I am hoping my memory is right and that there is another Walker KB8 model somewhere in my pile.

Dave, You and a few million others like them as do I. Nice paint for sure. When I was in Jr. High a neighbor would pick me up in his. I always picture the 55 with baby moons like his.
