Man, they look great Dave, nice work. What did you do for the whitewalls on the coral Edsel?

Man, they look great Dave, nice work. What did you do for the whitewalls on the coral Edsel? Thankyou, Chester. The wheels are Busch. They are the largest out of the pack of 3 tire and axle sets. Part number 49951.

Chester, Thanks for the kind words about my Nova. For the 70's an earth tone seems right. In 1977 "Buckskin" was available in regular and light shades. This is my first model with Future floor polish and I like the result. Thankyou for the tip. Our look alike Freightliners pulling the same trailer are an incredible coincidence. It looks like we have a fleet. Mine is lettered for Midland. It was purchased for the trailer body and reefer unit for a future project and just happens to look good with this trailer. Clearly you agree. Dave

Nice job Dave! I like CMC's 1955 Buick too, but you've painted nicely.

Dave, very good painting. What you used for the figure on the hood? Or is it original? In my model it isnĀ“t. I like this two tone painting from this time. Maybe one thing: in this time the portholes were real, so you can drill them a little bit more. best regards nick ingmar

Thankyou. As the portholes on the 1955 Buick are round your suggestion is a good one to have a most uniform appearance. The hood ornament is a wire eyebolt formed from fine nickel silver wire. They have many uses in detailing diesel locomotives and rail cars. Often they are called lift rings, as on a diesel locomotive they are used for lifting off the top panels to service the locomotive. www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/229-2206

Proof that a decent model can be had for under $3 Dave. But I can't agree with your son, I think they look cool without the graphics. The 57 chevy is just fabulous! And you did another great job with the Buick, I for one, happen to really like the Mini-exacts detail. Is all that chrome painted?

Chester, Thankyou, Chester. The mini-exacts were fun to paint. I bought these many years ago for about $.50 apiece, and only now have started to paint them. The grille and bumper of the Buick Regal and Dodge van are BMF. Also the side trim of the Belair.
