Taking into account the international composition of this message board this is maybe of rather theoretic interest, but I am very pleased to announce this year's 1/87 Vehicle Club meet in Fulda, Germany. Details can be downloaded here: www.87thscale.info/images/Shows/Fulda_2004eng.docIt would be great to meet some of you guys there, although I realize it's just not possible for most of you to attend.

Well, Christian, there will be at least two participiants of this board in Fulda - helping to bring the show to life, I think I better attended it, as well Of course, I can only second Christian's invitation. Fulda would be a good place to see some of the people who meet on this board. I certainly hope some of you can make it! Marc Schmidt PS: We have a flyer's German version at www.mo87.de/content/special001.htm.

I can also promise there will be as many new American products on display as we can manage to get to Germany in time.

Having had another chat with the manufacturer today, I can finally confirm we will have a very limited "1/87 Vehicle Club" model (moulded and printed by Rietze) available in Fulda -- if Deutsche Post manage to deliver the parcel in time, that is. To find out what it will be, I invite everyone to Fulda at the end of next week!

Hmmm. What would be the price charged to someone who would be there in spirit only and would like to have one of the limited 1/87 Vehicle Club show models? ;D There will be someone at the show who could "receive" it for me.

Lee,
I am sure we will find a way to supply "someone" even if he is there only in spirit! The price should be less than 10 euros.

Ok guys. Who took their camera and wants to share? The show has been over for two whole days now and I see not a peep on any of the websites. Christian said it was a great show with a goodly amount of vendors. The CMC models did not arrive at Christian's home until Saturday so they did not make the show. So much for International Priority Mail. No faster than regular air mail.

Ok guys. Who took their camera and wants to share? Lee, Patience, please! Photos of the contest winning models are already sent to the Club's webmaster, and they will be on the 1-87vehicles.org website soon. A German-language article is promised to be published on mo87.de this weekend, and there will be lots of photos, of course. I got the impression that everybody enjoyed being in Fulda, and the models on display were at least as fantastic as last year. Photos certainly cannot do them justice. So, a big thank you to everyone who attended and helped to make the weekend as wonderful as it turned out to be! As the organizers were able to benefit from last year's experience, the meet was more relaxing for us. We are pretty sure there will be a meeting in 2005, as well. If anyone is interested in obtaining one of the 2004 special models (Rietze's Opel Vivaro van, decorated for the Club), please let me know. (Lee, your model was already handed over to the "courier".) Anyone in North America who will want one of the models created for the 2004 meet will be happy to know the 1/87 Vehicle Club will be bringing some of the remaining models to the U.S. This will make the total cost of the model lower than sending it direct from Germany. We should have details posted on the Club website soon.

Many thanks Christian for all the great photos. One question: What is the red and white boattail convertible, first page bottom, right photo? And can we see it elsewhere?

Yes Chrsitian - thanks a lot for nice pictures. I wish I could be there..... Were any new models announced for the market at this meeting ? I have noticed a picture of a Jaguar S-Type 4-dr saloon - that would be a nice new model ! Bjarte
