any word on the release of the new porsche models in 1/87? thanks for any info.

kl993... As in the great Porsche 993? It seems to me that the availability of Porsche models is slightly less reliable than VW or MB... many might not like a car that looks exactly like the old one  |

Kenny,
I recently talked to Porsche's product manager for accessories and scale cars. He told me he was not planning 1/87th scale promotionals of either the 997 (Carrera) or 987 (Boxster Mk2) as earlier models in this scale had proved to sell not to his satisfaction. I tried to explain there actually is a market fos such models (which I believe), but I cannot say if my words made any impression.
Without an industry order, Herpa is not exactly likely to produce a new model. Schuco's die-cast series might be your best bet.
