That's absolutely brilliant. I can't believe no one's ever told me about this method before! I am very excited, and I can think of so many different applications of this technique, too. I always have problems creating tiny tiny shapes, especially when they have to be duplicated, but squash molding sounds like an excellent solution.

Look out for undercuts on the part you are making a mold of. I am just picturing a glob of epoxy stuck to a good model.
