The Rekord P-II Coupé is the only Brekina available with detailed interiors, an at the moment as a limited edition, isn´t it? Do you know if these details will be added to models like the Peugeot 403, Volvo Amazon, or will be introduced in future releases only?

While the detailing of the instrument panel on the Bekina Opel PII is first-rate, I thought only the special model produced for Intermodellbau (sorry, I meant Techno Classica-BC) had the printed instrument panel. The regular production models I have do not have the printing.
As far as upgrading the existing TD models, I think that would require retooling the interior, although that would certainly be welcome.
Herr Hartung and his staff are doing some amazing things with their new models. One wonders what is next? Detailed engines? Upholstered seats? Scale antennae?

Albert,
I asked Brekina's Werner Hartung this very question at Techno Classica, the show for which the Rekord P2 coupé with interior treatment was made. The response was there may be more models eventually, but that the necessary increase in price would make for very limited editions. The model at Techno Classica (made 2,000 times) was sold for 10 euros, but directly from the manufacturer: hence, without a dealer margin. At retail prices, that would mean 18 to 20 euros. Herr Hartung believes few collector were willing to pay as much for details to be recognized only on second or third glance. Personally, I expect only newly designed models to come with interior treatment for the reason Bill mentioned: It requires modified interior parts for the older models.

When I got mine Rekord "Techno Classica" I was surprised with the price, cheap for the details it has. Now I see the reason.

You guys make me feel like I live out in the wilderness. Something like that probably would retail for around $30-$35 after import duties, distributor markup and dealer markup. I see the new Busch selling here for $25.00 US.
