It has been in the triple digits for the last week. As you may know, Southern California imports most of its water. This is done using open canals and storage lakes. The heat plays havoc by evaporating the water. These pictures were taken looking North and East over the San Gabriel Mountains toward Palmdale and Lancaster. The first pan was done at 9:00 AM The second pan was done at 12:30 PM The third pan was done at 4:30 PM This all makes for some interesting micro climate storms. This happens everyday when it is hot.

Dear All:
Is interesting to notice that while I write this, it is around 19:58 hours and the temperature is still around 100 degrees Farenheight. And, while Los Angeles is baking, communities near the desert are receiveing flood warnings!!
