D&K models has a nice website - But it looks like no one is home nowdays. Any of you insiders over there know anything about them? Are they still in business? (Chester, this is how you get your question across)

Thanks Lee, I've always been timid about things like that. Yes, their site is nice but the nonavailability of some of their stuff has been the same status for over a year now. I see on the Spaulding Trading and Shipping site, they offer the Oshkosh and KW 525 that is on the D&K site. I believe there is some inhouse resin casting being done there, selling under the name of Big River. The castings I recieved from them are a bit rough, however. Everyone that I have discussed this with said the D&K stuff is high quality. We may never know!?!

Well, have any of you tried to contact them? I have no first hand experiences with their kits and have never even seen them for sale anywhere.
As an interesting aside my father did some research on oilfield trucks for them in the 1990s.

Christian, I believe oilfield vehicles to be the most detailed and intricate as well as some of the largest rigs in the world. They fascinate me probably more than any kind of truck. A terrific subject to model and I sure would like to pick your dad's brain for his experiences with them. I have been asked, by a collector to model the 2 new Narwag pieces. They were sent to me today. I'm anxious to see what a $167.00 model looks like. I haven't been willing to put that kind of money down on a few models until I see what I'm buying first. This , in fact, leads me to another thread regarding what some of you charge for model services.
