Right now, the Plymouth and Ford sales are good, but not outstanding. I attribute some of that to problems with the Ford, which we're trying to correct now, to get a better front end.
There are already more models planned for the Main Street Motors line and we are considering changing one more project to a Main Street Motors model. This will allow us to focus the Masterpiece line on truly noteworthy vehicles.

Hello Bill,
could you please tell me which Ford and Plymouth colors are metallic colors? And when do you expect will they be available?

There are a couple of colors that may be changed so I can't give you a final listing of them yet (I am not happy with the red Ford and there is a Plymouth shade that needs adjusting).
The Ford has been modified so the front end looks better and I am hoping to receive pre-production approval samples shortly (like next week). Assuming we can get quick turnaround on the approvals, we are hoping to ship the models in early May. The same is true of the Journey and Challenger.

Bill,
I love the different colors of the 1970's and I agree about the red Ford. Even brown or beige would be better then red for that car.
I'm hoping for pre-production shots of the Journey and Challengers soon!

Actually, we did some checking and the red Ford was right for Calypso Coral, but I suggested we try Candy Apple Red, another 1970 Ford color, but a bit darker. Also I suggested we change the Mist Green Plymouth to Forest Green.

The pre-production shots of the Challenger and Journey have been approved by Dodge. There are a couple of minor changes and some paint issues.
We're waiting on approvals from Chrysler and Ford for the 1968 Plymouth and the 1970 Ford (which has a much-improved front end).
First test shot of the 1950 Ford is due next week.
We'll have some photos up soon.

Bill, these are good news. I anxiously await the pictures. By the way, in which stage is the Taurus SHO? It was announced so early, but I've never heard of it again...;-)

The Taurus is still in the works. We've had some special projects that pushed some of our regular models back a bit.
I will update everyone on the schedule as soon as I can.

These are the first shots from the tooling. They still need paint and detailing.

Well, I think these models look great. I'm glad to add them to my collection soon. The only issue I have with the Journey are the wheels that could be a little bit larger for me...but the alloys look great.

The wheels and tires are pretty much right on; that was a point on which Dodge was quite specific. If you look at a side photo of the actual Journey, you will see the wheels and tires look rather small in the wheel wells.

Bill,
That Dodge Challenger looks awesome. Looking forward to some great colours, may have to get a few of this model.
Great job. Well done to you and all at Masterpiece.
Thanks, Gary

Bill,
Both vehicles look great and I can't wait to buy them at the local HS. The glass looks frosted on the Journey, this will be corrected, right? The Masterpiece collection is going to get much bigger soon!
