Womble,
Well, I’m still interested in the 1952 Ford Coupe (SMC-641). There are other models in your list that interest me, but as I’ve already have them, I prefer to wait in case some other member is interested.
As for the shipping fares, for my part, I'm in France.

Womble, Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry to see that you don't have the '47 Buick Sedanette (#SMC-604). Does anyone have any more info about Stoney Mountain or have or know of anyone who might have one? I also understand that there used to be a vehicle manufacturer named "Al's Favorites". They also had a HO model of the '47 Buick (#061). Anybody have one of these? Or know anything about them? Thanks.

Does anyone have a SMC - 632 '48 Packard Limousine kit that they wish to part with? The Miniature Model Master Maker has found himself without one. He would be willing to buy or trade for some of the new.

The way you guys are drooling, I have the feeling that I am going to be busy this winter making new molds of old SMCC castings. Our biggest problem is space so we will not be building up a stock of anything like we did last time. In otherwords, when we get into production, vehicles will be cast as ordered. Enough interest in any one SMCC and we will make a new mold. Then will come the question. Is the vehicle worth more in the old packaging or with new and better detail?

Then will come the question. Is the vehicle worth more in the old packaging or with new and better detail? This, I think, ties in to the hobbyist/collector/modeller thread elsewhere - hobbyists and modellers prefer the better kit, while the collector wants that special packaging. I prefer the new and improved version.

[quote author=Lee Then will come the question. Is the vehicle worth more in the old packaging or with new and better detail?[/quote] I agree with you, Skunk. I'm a railroader and am more interested in having a variety of good looking and well detailed vehicles from the '40's to the mid '50's to populate my layout than I am what kind of packaging it has.
And I'd like to second Sylvain's comment. Thanks, Lee!

We are still trying to make contact with Hal and Doug who was the other half of Stoney Mountain. They have all the old masters and molds. If they have any plans to reactivate Stoney Mountain, Jerry and I will not redo anything that they have. If we can somehow prove possitive that they do not wish to restart or continue the business then we will reproduce them as we get time.
Sylvain received a couple of emails giving the phone numbers in Henderson, Nevada, which is where I left them. I have email the sender to try and find out when they last heard from Stoney Mountain. Everything that we have tried so far, both addresses and phone numbers have meet with no response from them.
Bill C has eliminated the old info about Castaic, Ca. that was on 87th Vehicles website. Thanks Bill.

Hello Group,
I have an excess Stoney Mountain vehicle available if anyone is interested.
It is the SMC-613 - 1947 Chevrolet Aerostar 2 Door.
The price would be $8.99 plus shipping.
If there is no interest I will be placing it on eBay.
Have a nice day,
Ron

What, pray tell, is a Chevrolet Aerostar? I have done some internet searches, but all I can find is the 87thscale pages, which dont have a pic of this particular model.
Is it a truck or a passenger car? Espresso machine?
I am very curious.
