HÃ¥kan, several manufacturers use what is actually an ink on their models. Herpa for one. And alcohol works fast on them. I will say that it is important to get this type of "paint" off because it will bleed through just about any finish coat you try to apply. Glad it worked for you. Regarding diecast again, these really don't need a lot of fussing. Just use the absolute strongest stripping solvent you can get your hands on. Much of what has been recommended above is applicable to stripping plastic models.
