The text? Are you talking of the Magirus Deutz logo and mark? If so, I'm going to copy it from a Herpa 190 Iveco Magirus truck, even if it's a little too thick.

Great idea in using the trees Skunk. Instead of soldering use CA glue which is what the manufactures of the photo etch kits seem to recommend.

Request Chester to photoetch it for you? I have also used scrap pieces (the "trees" holding the pieces together) of photoetching to fashion similar crossbars in the past. I have thought that it would be easy to scan a grille into the computer and be able to get the scale artwork for quite a few pieces in this way. Wiking and Roco both have Magirus emblems that stand out pretty good. I suspect it would be a good way to get emblems for a lot of manufacturers like this. I have a feeling I will be tackling something not quite so delicate at first. BTW, I use the trees from photo etched parts that I have recieved all the time. You can get nice uniform strips of brass and stainless from them.

Wiking has Magirus logos too? I have 2 Wiking Magirus kipper with the long bonnet (v10 engine) but both have the front grill as a sticky label. Which Wiking models have the emblem in relief?
The Roco from the 310 cabover is thiner and better than the Herpa one, but it's toolong and doesn't enther the front grill. On the contrary the Herpa has "bold types", but it's shorter and fits in the grill width.
The best solution will certainly be to photoetche it.

The Wiking Magirus 100 COE has the emblem on the front of the cab like the Roco, not in the grille:http://www.wiking-modelle.de/mag-100D7.htm
But if I were scanning the front of the model to get the emblem, I don't see how this would be a problem. The only portion of the scan I would use as artwork would be the logo (emblem) and would (hopefully) be getting a p.e. piece representing just the logo.
