Dear All:
Is to be expected that each store has its own brand which distributes and handle the model vehicles it sells. So, on case of CVS Pharmacies, their Yat Ming two-packers are handled by someone else (the name Yat Ming does not appear at the packs) and another company is offering a monster type Escalade (it reminds of the extinct Columbia Models, which been briefly avaliable at Wal Mart). Being this time of the year, now everyone is expecting the news of the 2009 releases, and by far I know the Matchbox news.
It seems that Motormax will also sell their 1/60 scale Fresh Cherries via other channels than mass merchandise stores. The Diplomats and others are not found either at Toys R Us or Wal Mart (but the latter has the Dioramas), so I will have to try ebay or Internert stores to get them. The basic Motormax brand are found at Toys R Us, under the store's brand name.
The single pack Maisto Fresh Metal Series are avaliable as of now at Wal Mart; I got new castings already - Challenger and the new Camaro. The Police Charger is also a new issue.
New Yat Ming issues includes the Challenger, Shelby Mustang, Porsche 997, Cadillac Roadster and Lumina Coupe (as Coupe, not NASCAR racer).

Dear All:
I went to CVS this morning and this particular store has the little movable shelf loaded with 4-inch long toys. The one I been looking at this size, the Trabant Station Wagon, is nowhere to be found. Rare? Doubtful.
Since this section does not only offer cars, trucks (and at times buses) are offered as well. This time, it is a International 4300 tanker, with markings at the doors and Flammable warnings at the tank. No manufacturer is specified for it' just the 'Made in China' Markings. There are other variations of this truck; exact 1/64 scale.
Their Escalade (forgot the name it trades with) is a battery controled unit and 1/55 scale at that. As is the case with such vehicles, no interior was made for it.
Their two pack deals are manufactured for Creative Innovations & Sourcing, LLC. It follows Yat Ming's traditions to offer vehicles for specific stores, something that they been doing ever since. The cars, which I oppened, do not have Yat Ming markings as well, but all are numbered, as it would happen with their 1/64 cars which were avaliable from 1990 on. They also issued a 2008 Camaro Show Car; quite nice for a cheap casting issue.

Dear All:
At first., there were the Charger sedans, followed by the Police Car Collection. Now, it seems that Greenlight has shifted its focus to the Panther Platform and will offer something I wanted to see for a while - a 2004 Mercury Marauder. Oh, great, excellent, really!! I barely can wait for that miniature, and have a hunch that as the 1968 Impala, that will be a tough one to find. Is also stated that Greenlight also has several other nice projects in the pipeline.

Dear All:
A new manufacturer entered the arena of 1/64 scale: Suntoys (they do large models). As I found on eBay, the following models are avaliable:
Toyota Sequioa SUV Toyota Tacoma Pick Up Ford Crown Victoria Taxi Lincoln Navgator Citroen Racer Ford F-150 Pick Up
The models sold at eBay are boxed; at first, I tought that the Racoma was from Motormax, but there are some differences between the two models.
I also saw a series of Monster trucks from New Ray; in their case, they did return to 1/64 scale.

Dear All: Greenlight is not offering only the Mercury Marauder; will also develop a Crown Vic which will be on Police and Fire Chief liveries. So, thus far, this company is molding these two vehicles.
New Ray is back to 1/64, and as they started on business, by doing three inch 'Monster Vehicles'. A set of these is avaliable at KB Toys, and there are Ford Model A's, Willys Coupes from the late 1930's and what seems to be a 1952 Chevy coupe. Very simple, yet quite interesting prototypes.
It seems that Suntoys also made a Ford Crown Vic; besides that, they offer a Citroen C4 racer (I think Siku or Majorette also did one - I am sure of the Norev version), a Subaru Impreza, Lexus I series and a Toyota Celica. They are considered cheap models, but nevertheless, a new entry in 1/64 scale. Their cars are packaged on a semi whose uselfuness is good only to store cars - and 24 at that. The semi of the store comes with only four cars: Celica, Sequoia, Lexus IS and Toyota Tacoma. The listing of SunToys, as given by their box: BMW Z4 BMW X3 Citroen C4 Racer Ford F - 150 Pick Up Lexus Is Sedan Lincoln Navigator Subaru Impreza Racer Toyota Celica Toyota Sequioa Toyota Tacoma Pick Up
Motormax is also Marketing one of this 'Storage Trucks'. The cars offered are: Mustang (1990's), Porsche 911, BMW Z3 and Z4 Convertible, Toyota Celica.
Is licenced by Marvel and there are a line up of Monster Vehicles under 'Spider Man' Logo. A Pick Up, a Futuristic Vehicle, and what looks a Ford A on steroids it was being offered.
Another manufacturer is also offering 1/64 cars - Agglo, I believe it is (I saw the brand twice and forgot to mark down its name). A 1967 Corvette and 1969 Chevelle are some of the models offered. I will go back to KB Toys and make a more accurate listing. They also have a feature: batteries included, they light up. The last miniatures of such features were offered by the same store in the 1980's; they were the first ones to offer a miniature of the Ford Bronco II and they also listed a 1970's Ford Ranchero, which I never saw. Their 1957 Nomad was unique at the time for 1/64 scale. I threw the cartons away, so I may not be able to tell who the manufacturer was, and even at eBay, I did not spotted the Ranchero, so perhaps was never made.
The Agglo models:
1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2 1969 Chevelle SS396 1969 Pontiac GTO 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z / 28
The Four Star Models from Yat Ming are marketed as Road Signature Collection. So, besides the Stock Pick Up Trucks which were listed in the past, there is a Chrysler 300 C, and a Chevrolet Corvette Z06. No doubt that there are other cars, but these should be found. Ah, good. More 1/64 vehicles from them.
K B also has a fair amount of set vehicles. There are sets of five whose themes are: Speed Machines, Police (which has a 1977 Dodge Monaco in it), Fire (A Mack R Series near to 1/87 scale appears in this set) and Construction (the bulldozer is good for 1/87 scale).
There are other big sets, which are also distributed by sets: Construction Site (Yat Ming Vehicles), Car Service Station (Realtoys units, including the only 1/64 scale miniature I know of the Volkswagen Golf 4-door) Speed Racing (Realtoy), Police Station (Realtoy, including their Crown Vic Unit).

Dear All:
It is confirmed: the Matchbox Dodge Monaco will be a 1978 (oh, yes!!!!) model year and of course, made as a Police Unit. There will be also a 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Wagon (excellent) and a Toyota Prius (why?) as well. Prior to Christmas, the report of the new models will come, and will be added accordingly in here. Happy about the Monaco (very much so) and the Olds. I do not know if RC2 / Johnny Lightning will ever deliver their promise - a 1964 Olds Vista Cruiser.

Dear All:
It seems that Mattel is up there to promote Ford's Co. Vehicles. At the Auto Show, a free 2010 Mustang was given away (but one had to right his / hers/ its info on a card to receive it and they were going fast!! By being a promo, is written in the card that this is the Auto Show model, so this is a promo) and now there is the new 2009 Ford F-150 Pick Up as well. Other new Hot Wheels for 2009 includes a 1970 Buick GSX and a 1962 Ferrari, the classic one (I never can remember its model).
Warning: Due to any reason, the Fords are not - I repeat, are not customized in any way, so that may be is because that many collectors were complaining about it. No engine blocks popping out of the hood, and at the pick up, no engines at the bed. I think that the GSX in not customized as well. I hope they do the 2009 Dodge Pick up as well. The Ford F-150 has Hot Wheels marking tough, and the Motormax F-150 and F-350 Harley Davidson series are more detailed (the F-350 has blinker at the side mirrors details) than the Mattel ones, but the former sell ar $4.00, whilst the latter is a $ .97 unit.
Very anxious for the Matchbox 1978 Monaco and 1971 Vista Cruiser and Greenlight Vic and Marauders. I hope that the Vic from the latter has the right 2002 and over Police Interceptor Front Grille.

Dear All:
I hope it remains as such and they also apply that to their 1/87 scale range.
Obviously, I am talking about Mattel. Their 2009 New Models of real cars are being well done, as their Matchbox counterparts. So, no extreme customs, decent wheels, and alltogheter a good model (s). Their new release, besides the ones mentioned above, is a Datsun Bluebird 510, in Racing format and this guy has even a gear shifter detail, astonishing, and the seats are also as they were on the real car, no some of the generic fit - all as seen in diecast. Another great model.
As I would go on my MCCH site readings, most of the members would complain about the Hot Wheels issues - either a lump of metal that was a waste of material and real models which were too customized (and often too much of a low rider) with astonishing wheels. Well, as Matchbox became a great seller for Mattel because they were offering models that were rightly made, one will notice the at the stores, the Matchbox pegs were always empty or semi - empty (the models which were not so great sellers just stood there, at the pegs) while the large space devoted to Hot Wheels were always full. So, as far I am concerned, the Ferrari, the Buick, and 2009 Ford F - 150 and Datsun 510 are nicely done and as I stated, I hope that this will be the formula for the HO series as well.
It was unavoidable, but perhaps nescessary: M2 is also doing Muscle Cars. Well, granted, these at least have opening doors besides a very detailed engine. 1970 Dodge Superbee, 1970 Chevelle and 1970 GTX is what I could find. They also launched two model years of De Sotos, 1955 and 1957 (and equally gorgeous) and a Dodge Royal Lancer, so their line up is excellent. I just have to keep up to date to see what else they may bring.
I have the feeling that Motormax did dumped the Fresh Cherries, but they may keep the American Graffity series avaliable. Wal Mart have the Graffity Dioramas, and a 1957 Chevy (ugh, unavoidable) and a c1933 Ford Hot Rod are also part of this collection, besides the Maverick, Aries, Chrysler Station Wagon. Gas Station or Garage Dioramas, $7.00 each.
Nothing new from Maisto, albeit I know that their basement series have a Toyota FJ and may have a Ford Flex as well; 2009 may tell. In meanwhille, they released another series of Premium diecasts, which includes yet another replica (sigh) of a 2010 Camaro.
Back to Mattel: I worth to also add that, a couple of years ago, while they were producing bloobing Hot Wheels, Real Toy were doing, for $ .75 each, a series of cars that not only were authentic, but had different interiors and chassis as well. Well, now that Real Toy models are not to be seen in many places (they did not been active lately) and perhaps due to the fact that the MCCH and members from this site were mentioning their products shortfalls, Mattel may do their (real) vehicles as they should be done.
Matchbox Honda, Morgan and 1-100 series Pierce are difficult to find. Hm. Maybe in January.

Dear All: They are out: the Matchbox 1978 Dodge Monaco (which is an excellent model - thumbs up; I consider that one the basic model of the year. Samples of it are being sold at eBay at excess of $7.00, which indicates that the collectors really want this pup). The front end of it, which is difficult to capture, is better done than the Busch / Praline version or the Yat Ming model (the Mattel was just a caricature of it) and is also far better than the two-door model from Kidco. I will get several of this, no doubt. www.bamca.org/cgi-bin/single.cgi?yr=2009&rg=U&no=54&id=MB762 The Greenlight 2004 Mercury Marauder is also out; they are also commanding excessive bids and prices at eBay. I still have to hunt for that. Note: this miniatures comes in more collors than black and is excellen as well. I rate it the best high - degree casting of the year. And of course, Matchbox still has to release the very welcome 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser (the 1964 model year by RC2 / Johnny Lightning is also an excellent model), Toyota Prius and Land Cruiser. Do not forget the Bentley Model by Minichamps (who just re - entered the 1/64 scale market) and a couple of Renault promos by Eligor (yes, Eligor, the 1/43 scale manufacturer) and that makes 2009 an excellent year for 1/64 scale as well. Difficult to keep up with my two favorite scales, but I get by. I simply loved the Matchbox 1978 Dodge Monaco, and the 1/43 scale model of it by Universal Hobbies comes on perfectly on the 30th Anniversary of the halting of the production of this car model.

Dear All:
Some more news:
One of the members from MCCH who reported from Nurembereg about the 1/64 cars stated that Motormax did not show anything this year. It goes further: I went to Toys R Us, and no Motormax was present - be it the American Graffiti line (which seems to be active; the Aries / Reliant models did migrated to there) and not even under Toys R Us registered trademark (which had single and double packs of Motormax cars). To be frank, it seems that in a sense, they are doing like Zylmex did in 1995 - withdrawing to the larger scales. There is a new Ford Escape in 1/43 scale and all of the new itms for 2008 are on the larger ranges.
The Matchbox Dodge Monac is a best seller - either that or the scalpers go early at whichever store and get them by the boatload. The ones which are found on eBay are sold at seven or more times their original price (that plus shipping) and there are complains among the collectors who can not find it. Likewise, their Mark II Crown Vic was a pain to find and even now is not so easy to find. This year, it was re - made as a cab.
Since K Bee Stores are gone, the only way to get samples of Suntoys vehicles is via Internet only. Be as it may, they have interesting protos, such as a Toyota Sequoia and Tacoma Pick up (which were absent at the action house) and Lexus IS as a racer, plus a Citroen C4 Rally Vehicle. Others includes a Crown Vic Cab, Ford F-100 pick up and a Subaru WRX.
The M2 Auto Thentics 1959 Cadillac 62 is also a best seller; I saw it only once. I wonder if the hoarders are also stocking on it; did not check out eBay yet.
The Greenlight 2004 Mercury Marauder is also not be found anywhere. Another hot item, no doubt. Greenlight is also creating a Police line which has miniatures of Crown Vics and Dodge Chargers which are dressed with realistic Police liveries.
Hot Wheels had a 1950's Buick Station wagon and 1956 Mercury. Now a 1958 Edsel graduated to their line of higher-detailed - and priced - diecast.
