I am so glad I am not a Wiking collector - I cannot imagine trying to explain such a purchase to my wife. While not usually violent, I could see $202.50 sending her over the top.

Wiking also modeled a modern-type Opel truck and a Fiat truck,a Mercedes minibus,an Opel 4-door taxi and a dune buggy.A good amount of models over the years. And then, there is the Ford 12 M,Mercedes C111.........................

Dear JeanMarc:
I think that you discovered my secret-I have the Wiking book and I know that this manufacturer has a long array of models-like Matchbox. The ones I mention, such, say the White truck, are the ones that I think that should have a second chance.Another one is the Opel Wagon;it seems that Praline wanted to do that, but they gave up
I like the ideia to report Wiking models by year-the first one seems to be the Jeep Willys,in several variations but I rather do it on a separate database and I may begin it by mid-year.
By the way:what is GWB?

Dear Sirs:
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,I got it!
Anyway.Wiking discontinued both the Jeep Willys and Kaiser type;the second one was superbly done;I never saw Wiking's Willys version.

When you figure the price per vehicle is a little over $10.00 each, this is not to far out of line. Think of the time it would take to try to find them one at a time, not to mention the cost. In the US the price of a new 1/87 vehicle starts around $7.00 and goes up fast, depending on the vehicle.

Nick, Skunk, ... ... concerning GWB my last word would be "Adieu" instead of "Au revoir" ;D (which suppose to mean "see you sometime"!)....AhAhAh!.... ;D ;D About Wiking we are definitively on the same wave lengh ,I see!...A White truck at actual Wiking quality would be a very nice scoop, indeed! ...What about the Dodge and the Fiat as well, ....Hmmm? ....About the Jeep Willys, I 've got the second type of #T1 (with non-glazing windscreen), the #1 with transparent glazing and the re-issue with US ARMY colours done by wiking in the mid 90's + the Kaiser type of course ( very good model , I agree) I'm still looking for the : -the 1st issue of #T1 (with no windscreen, pinched wheel axles) -the kaiser in Farm version with Milk can (very rare) Hope to find them ...

Dear Sirs:
I do not know what kind of Dodge truck that is;the drawing of the book is not that conclusive. But yes,I agree for the a new version of it.The Fiat is welcome as well because there are very few Fiat trucks in 1/87 and the ones from the 1950's and 1960's looked good. The Jeep Kaiser had the fuel tank and spare tire at the rear and they did not forgot the little 'V' detail at the rear.If they had added the 4x4 shifters as does the Hongwell model, that Jeep was to be a five star model (for me,it is a four star).
They also molded the Goliath and Lloyd.I think that these were remade.

The Goliath, or "Goli" Dreirad or three-wheeler was dropped for 2004. The Lloyd is still available, at least the two-tone version with the too-large wheels.

Dear Sirs:
Wiking did molded an impressive amount of Opels-2 and 4 door models and station wagons,Porsche 356 type with Split window and a Borgward Hansa. The Goliath that I mentioned was a 4-wheel sedan.
Nice model selection.let me tell you.............
