Dear 50scars:
I am considering a Crown Vic too and some people got sarcastic towards me when heard that. I also know some pointers about it:
It has a very high costumer loyalty ranking, according to one of the automotive magazines that I read.
Russian cops do have them. When the Vic became the sole - so to speak - cop car in the US, cops where not happy with it.It was feared that this car was not stable at 100 mph speeds. The Watts link that debuted with the 1998 model correcetd that. Plus there it the rumours - or fact - that it may explode if hit at the rear.
Other complain was that it was not a very fast police cruiser.
Yet,as the Autoindex site puts it, this car became stilish and quite pretty with its new redesign. I also understand that it is attracting people from several group ages.
I confess that when I see the LX model, specially in black color, I drool real hard.
By the way, nice selection of real cars. Granadas and Fairmonts were as disposal cars as the Taurus. My 1987 version just died and I never particulary liked it. I did like my former Dodge Aries by far better.

1973 Sunbeam 1250 TC (Hillman Avenger Estate) DAF 44 (2x) DAF 55 DAF 66 Volvo 66 I think some cars are forgotten but this is already my first list I think that these cars have been completely forgotten by the rest of the car world... anyone non-Dutch have any recollection of the DAF 44? Finally, tell me one of these DAFs was a Marathon Coupe and I'll be your friend forever...
