Dear Sirs:
First off, both Flexble buses were listed at Walther's for a while.
Secondly,I also know about KEMBEL,but I am not sure what kind of buses they model.
And there is the International bus with Bluebird body that is Manufactured by Con-Cor and Herpa.
Or....................-I have to check it on my files-the buses that were offered by this hobby store in Florida.I got two of these-the ACF and GMC PD series-and they also offered the GMC Scenicruiser. That was on the 1980's.

To keep on americano-european interests and especially on Bus… what about the american GAR WOOD Road Cruiser/Aerocoach model of 1937 ? … this bus is very interesting as revolutionary design and building technology of the late 30’s , with first autocarriage coach building (no chassis) ever produced on an industrial vehicle (this technology was already used on personnal cars at the moment but not on heavy vehicles) and with rear mounted engine (40 years in advence… !) In 1937 , J.BESSET Company (Irisbus nowadays) who was at this time one of the leader of french bus coach builder (on several types of chassis-engine= Citroen, Panhard, Renault, Berliet, Saurer…etc) went to US and signed a contract for producing under licence GARWOOD bus for french (and european market) ….First produced as GARWOOD France, the name changed to ISOBLOC in 1938(Garwood sounds too much anglo-saxon name ;D …) …then ISOBLOC name became very famous in France before but mostly after 2nd World War (1945/55) …Unfortunately , the company was melt in SAVIEM in the late 1959 and the name disappeared … In modelling, french L’ OBSIDIENNE has a very good kit model at HO scale of an ISOBLOC , there is also a nice french penny toy in plastic reproducing an other version of this famous bus …French Dinky-Toys,and Minitrucks had done their models but out of scale (1/65th scale and 1/50th scale)…. But are they any GARWOOD of 1937 beeing produced at our favorite scale ? … .

Dear JeaMarc:
The current Isobloc is being modeled by Sai.I was wondering about Isoblocs;now you responded my question.
I do not know if that was ever done, but I heard about a model of an Aerocoach in plaster,I believe. And so far I know,no Garwoods were ever made.I heard of this bus,and the Autobloc, but I never could point a finger at these.Thank you for the info.

About ISOBLOC from SAI you've mentionned Nick...i think it's the product made by L' OBSIDIENNE . About Garwood and Aerocoach..the forum is open and info are welcome... Majorette Saviem Paris Bus....I've always think that the basis could be quite good for a SC10 (normal with no platform). ..though i don't like the glazing (yellow) and the button wheels. Majorette Neoplan....it seems there are 'thousand' of versions....one of my best prefered is missing on the site= PTT from Swisstzerland! Good model.

Dear JeanMarc: I will look for the rumored Aerocoach and I will fill with the details. Thank you for the info on Isobloc. Enciclopedias on Commercial vehicles does not cover bus body manufacturers;hence bus body builders such as Caio,Marcopolo,Ciferal,Grassi (all from Brazil) are left out.Biamax from Greece got luckier, because it seems that the build integral buses.Jane's Urban Transport Systems is a good reference for the latter;thanks to this book I discovered Heuliez and their-sorry the expression-gorgeous buses. Another thing that I will look out on my files was this Florida dealer who manufactured buses in either 1/48 (such as the Flexble 6-window bus) or 1/87 (GMC TDH's,ACF,GMC PD's,Eagle,Scenicruiser and more). The AMG Metropolitan bus was also molded by this company. At first I thought that these did not existed, but I managed to find three and heard about the sellout of a fourth one-the Scenicruiser.I may have the details by tomorrow.

Dear Sirs:
David P. Roberts molded the Aerocoach in plaster, and these were:
DPR-40 1945 Aerocoach P33 Intercity bus DPR-45 1950 Aerocoach 372 Intercity bus
According to former crescent Station store, these were good quality models.
Now,Roberts Miniature Transports from Florida (I can not tell if he still active;this was at the early 1980's) modeled the following buses in 1/87: 1947-1948 GMC PD 375I Silversides 1970's GMC PD Coach GMC SDM Fishbowl suburban coach GMC RTS II City bus 1953 GMC PD 4104 Coach 1962 GMC PD 4106 Coach 1949 GMC PD 3704 Coach 1939 Yellow Coach PG 2902 1948 GMC PG 2904 Coach 1950 ACF Brill CF-31 City bus 1937 Yellow Coach 743 Highway bus Flexble Coach,pre-war 1948 Flexble Coach 1948 Mack C33GT transit bus 1936 Mack double floor bus 1939 Mack with Boyertown body 1941 Mack 25 passenger bus 1944 GMC PDM 3302 Coach 1945 GMC PDM 3702 Coach 1948 GMC PDM 3703 Coach Silversides White 782 Coach,pre-war White Transit bus,post-war Flexble Bi-Level 1948 Twin Coach City bus 1949 GMC PD 4101 Coach 1953 GMC PD 4103 Coach 1980 MCI MC9 Coach 1941 ACF Brill IC41 Coach 1937 Mack CR Trolley-Bus 1936 ACF Brill Trolley-Bus 1979 Western Flyer Trolley-bus 1950 Aerocoach Master Craft Coach 1947 Aerocoach P 37 Coach 1950 GMC TDH 5105,TD 4007,TG 3101 city buses,TDM 4515 suburban coach 1939 Yellow TG 3207 city bus 1962 Silver Eagle Coach 1977 Silver Eagle Coach 1981 Eagle 10 Coach 1955 GMC PD 4501 Scenicruiser.
All these were listed at his brochure;I have the ACF Brill and one of the GMC PD's;saw the Silver Eagle and the Scenicruiser was sold at the store were I bought the couple buses that I have and saw the Silver Eagle.
Dear JeanMarc:
Also, notice that are 4 Aerocoaches listed here;I never saw any of them and for this matter,no other buses besides the four that I cited above. This person also offered one-of-a-kind buses in O gauge (1/48 Scale in the US).
No Gar Woods found. At least for now.

Dear Sirs:
I just found out that the store in Florida was run by David P. Roberts.I hope this list ends at the Manufacturer's list;is as complete that I can figure. As I said,I have his brochure and his models were sold for either $30.00 or $60.00 at the secondary Market ;originally,HO's cost $10.00 as a kit for 1/87 scale,$20.00 for 1/48 scale. His Scenicruiser preceds the one made by MEK;the one from Lledo is too short (35 footer,I believe;GMC lobbed the Transportation Departament with these buses so 40 foot coaches could be built). These were made out of plaster and I think only the body-and chassi-were molded. When one ordered a model,if it wanted it painted, just specify wich Transit Authority should be at the bus sides. The ones I got were painted and had Wiking wheels.

Please excuse, I am a country boy and get into the city very infrequently so my knowledge of buses is limited to the old Blue Bird that picked me up down the lane for school. I did however, just today, have to be in the small city of Portland, Maine and saw a Setra bus that was absolutely beautiful. In fact not just as a bus, but one of the most beautiful vehicles I have ever seen.
