Roger and Lindy Rife, the original people that started Stoney Mountain long before the casting or vehicles are back in business. Their eBay name is sumarirudim. They have a number of items on eBay now. What you see is what caught my attention oh so many years ago.

Jerry wanted me to make this disclaimer. Stoney Mountain Classics Miniatures is not part of nor has anything to do with Cutters Miniature Castings.
Roger and Lindy do one of a kind finished pieces. Where as both Stoney Mountain Classic Castings and Cutters Miniature Castings were/are in the business of making molds and reproducting items in kit form. Jerry was/is the master model maker for both SMCC and CMC.
Jerry noticed a seller by the name of cbviews, who just may be the son of one of the SMCC partners, who is selling off a bunch of SMCC.

Jerry noticed a seller by the name of cbviews, who just may be the son of one of the SMCC partners, who is selling off a bunch of SMCC. A follow up - Jerry and I sent an eBay question to the seller, cbviews, and Jerry received a reply. It seems that the seller bought out the remaining SMCC stock and is now packaging and selling it on eBay. It seems that the molds and masters were not included in the sale. The brothers, Hal and Doug, are into other interests and seem to not have any interest in 1/87th models any more.

I spoke to the owners of Stoney Mountain Classic Castings this morning and they gave me their new web address. Hal and Doug are back in the business of producing all of SMCC's past products. You will find them at: www.shop.stoneymountaincc.comJerry

Checkpoint Technologies are flagging up this web side as suspicious and warning people to avoid it. These are the guys that produce zonealarm one of the most popular home firewall products so lots of people will see this message. Guess the owners need to sort this out or it may dampen sales somewhat

Thank you for this information. I gave Stoney Mountain C C, the above information regarding this matter. Stoney Mountain C C produces H O Scale products only. So this is a situation of another company.
Thank you again for this important bit of information.

Hello I am Hal my brother Doug and I are Stoney Mountain Classic Castings and we are very pleased with the responce we have had since re opening . We were only going to sell are stored inventory but had such an incredable responce we are back in full production. Now an explanation why we closed mid 2000.My wife died in a fatal car on Dec. 27 1999 we kept the bussiness going til mid 2000 but things got to hard to handle. We know Jerry and Lee were in production at a much smaller scale and we have an incredable friendship with Jerry. Jerry modeled 90% of are vehicles and we we we just recieved 2 new cars . A 1949 Kaiser Virginian rag top this will be SMC-668 and a 1949 Frazier Sedan 4 door SMC-669. These new cars have not been painted or shown yet. We are trying to over come being closed for almest 10 years. Many of the shops that carried are line are out of bussiness but so many of are customers are back and we are just starting to get a hold of hobby shops .Now about ebay we set up are account under the name( coinsandthings) but all are products have SMC in front of the item. We have an online store www.shop.stoneymountaincc.com If any one has any questions please feel free to call me (702)296-1542 and my personal email halhosek@aol.com Thank You Hal& Doug

Welcome here, Hal & Doug! I've always been a big fan of SMCC's models, and of Jerry's models, so it's really great to see them available again. And really great to read about these two new cars, the Virginian and Frazier sedan. That's really good news.
Do you know when they'll be available for sale? And, I believe you don't sell abroad with eBay. Is it possible through your website?

Hello Thank you for your response. Are 2 new cars will be ready for sale by Jan. 15 hope to have pictures soon. On ebay we do ship world wide at the end of the auction we need to charge for shipping you need to ask for an invoice and at that time we use the shipping calculator for pricing only. We take every out of country order to the post office and almost always ship First Class trying to keep shipping prices down. Once again thank you for your interest. Hal& Doug

Dear Hal and Doug:
Welcome back to business and sorry about your loss. I loved your (assembled) vehicles and the enormous selection of 4-door sedans that you had.
