All,
I'm sure this has been said before in this forum, but I wanted to take a moment to praise and thank the Best of Show (BoS) operating team. They continuously, predictably deliver high quality 1:87 replicas that are helping to re-invigorate our scale.
In addition, they continue to surprise and delight with unexpected choices like the Corvette Stingray C7, Range Rover Evoque, 1968 Cadillac Eldorado and 1972 VW SP2.
Keep up the great work, and again, thank you!

Tony,
Thank you for this info, because if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known about the Evoque. Just put in my order last night, and it was for 4 BoS models. BoS is THE most exciting company in HO right now, and nobody else is even close. If BoS would please reduce all of their American 1/43 models to HO that would be welcome of course!
I also have to admit that the 1/87 Vehicle Club is becoming a joke. BoS is not even listed in their directory, that's pathetic! Of course, if this is a HO company making American trucks the Club would be all over it.

Dear All:
In the last six years I been on NEO articles (their 1/87,1/64 and 1/43 scale articles) and lately on the BoS releases (I get the BoS via American Excellence;NEO via eBay and the latter) which includes the 1/43 Scale Chevrolet Caprice Station Wagon, which I got and that one should be converted to 1/87 scale. They did a great job on that.I also love the fact that they are offering some vehicle which are almost unknown such as the four-door Volkswagen Beetle Taxi which was the creation of a bodymaker which also made their own vehicles.I like very much what this manufacturer is doing and was noticing the very interesting models which were being released in 1/87 scale.

Vito,
I agree with you. Right now, BoS is the most dynamic player in the field of 1:87 replicas. They've responded well to the realization that ultra-detailed replicas wouldn't work as a business model with the creation of a new, more cost-effective brand (BoS). As long as they continue to release a diverse mix of both modern and classic replicas, they should do well. They should also be able to capture a significant share of the market as only a few other companies are actively pursuing certain segments of the 1:87 collector market (mainly modern replicas).
I was surprised to hear you say that the 1/87 Vehicle Club didn't have the latest updates from BoS. They're usually on top of the news from Europe. Perhaps it's because BoS is so fast-moving. BoS usually doesn't even announce a new model until they're almost on the shelves, so the forums need to be quick to keep up with them.
Have a great holiday season!
Tony F.

I just received my BOS 1958 Buick Caballero Estate Wagon (that's a mouthful!) - it is a beautiful model, exquisitely detailed. It scaled out to 18' long, 6.5' wide, and 5' high. I have their 1958 Dodge and 1950's Willy's Wagon, and I think the Buick is even nicer.

As a teenager growing up in L.A. in the 80's, I always lusted after the Baja Beetles since there were so many on the road around L.A. at the time. I would probably start off with that one, and maybe the Ferrari because I always liked the one in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (yes, it was a replica, but I like the look of it).

I'm also especially excited about the '68 Cadillac Eldorado that's going to accompany it. Based on the photos, that model looks really good. Thank you BoS!! Tony F.

Stan,
Thanks for posting the complete list. It's nice to see the currently available colors. Now, I can only hope that they introduce a few more modern GM replicas to match the quality of the 'Vette C7 Stingray. Maybe the 2017 Cadillac Escalade and 2017 Opel Insignia Tourer (station wagon).
Cheers!

BoS has released some news about future releases and they are amazing. Among them the Ford Model T, 1985 Lincoln Town Car Stretch Limousine, GM Futurliner, GM Firebid I, Studebaker Commander Starliner and some European models like the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, the Borgward Traumwagen, Rolls-Royce Corniche Cabriolet and the NSU Prinz III.

The Model T and the Studebaker Commander Starliner both sound interesting. I hope the Studebaker is a 53-54. My only issue with the Model T is that so far, BoS hasn't done a great job on spoke wheels in this scale. I am still hoping to see them do alot more 1960's American cars (preferably mid 60's as in 63 to 68). So far they have only done one 60's American car, the 68 El Dorado.

The Studebaker is a 1953. Model T is from 1909.
