How "doable"is the L 700?Do you think the A100 cab is too small or does adding the fender make up the difference?

It is my understanding, that Dodge used the tooling from the A-100 cab for the L-700 cab over. They are identical. It was the simple addition of the fenders that allowed for the height necessary to put the L-700 on the heavier class frame. The back of the cab present the only problem I see.

Tyco already did the L-700 in 1/87 scale. But, you're making me think that the roof from the Tyco A-700 might make it easy to make a Brekina A-100 pickup.

I should say not! Just a cheap generic toy if you ask me. I've had so many of these things, the trailers can be made quite presentable but the tractors end up in the trash.

The Tyco cab is not to scale, kitbashing should be a problem with these.

Because the cabin is mounted higher it might fit. The same as Kenworth with their K 300. They use(d) also small cabins. (VW LT <'90; Daf 50 from 2000 and now Daf LF) And the same for Peterbilt af course.
Ford did something like that with their "C" cab to make the "H". BTW, for these ones Sylvan Scale Models have a sleeper conversion.

I'm no expert on these thing. But if you look at the the L-600 & 700's they have to share the same "front" end as the A100. The 6/700 cabs look like the the A100 truck cabs 700 jarrettdodge.com/used-images/7781749299.jpgA100 pick up body www.wingsisp.com/emboss/a100.jpgYou can see that the pick up has the corner area punched out for windows and the 6/700s have this space still in. The wheels are further back on the 6/700s so it looks like the door is longer on the bottom... I use to drive a 80's Chevy C60, it shared cabs with the pick ups, as the interior had to be replaced after a engine fire... just saying...

Uh, what is it? It looks like the Dodge is nicely restored, but...what is it for? It looks like building one like that is beyond my skills. I'm just trying to determine if I can hold my hand steady enough to paint the rims body color leaving just the dog dish hubcaps chrome.
