Christian they look nice. My grandfather used to own one back in 1986 it was the silver one. I would like to get the silver one, any chance we will be able to buy them here in the states?

I doubt that the catalog shows the actual 1/87 scale model; we'll probably have to wait a bit for that one. They say that a lot will depend on reactions and preorders, so it could be a good idea to send them feedback: NPEisenbahn@gmx.net

Meanwhile, NPE states on their website that construction of the non-motorized DeLorean has been completed, with some fine-tuning yet to be done. I have seen a photo of a pre-production sample in one of the Nuremberg reports. Unfortunately I can't remember where.

Nice find ! Maybe it's just me but the model somehow doesn't look quite right from the side. The original had different rim sizes for front and rear (front 14", rear 15") and it looks as if this difference has been modelled accurately, but somehow (it could just be the picture ofcourse) it looks as if the rear wheel/tire combination on the model is not quite right compared to the front rim/tire. Line drawing of the DMC-12 here www.time-traveler.org/delorean/images/km-dmc-d.gif for comparison... Eric
