No, yhey are not functionel. I wish that will work, but it was to smal. The winches are complet scratch build. The wheel on the winche is made from etch (correct word?) parts special drawn for this model. The gears are from several sets.
Yesterday I started with an other fire rescue crane from the '30s. I will place pictures when you cab see something.
