Chester, Your freightliner is one good looking truck. I like the chain on the gas tank and the overall look of a working truck.
Does the prototype date back into the 50's

Dave, the 7564 was produced as early as 1950 but there was a grille change made in the late 50's. The one I did has the newer grille.

Chester, That is one Great looking Mack. Athearn does offer the Ford C wheels separately for $3.00 / set. Go to their web page, click parts, and scroll down about 2/3rd of the list. Part # 57598 and 57599. Dave

Love it. But just how many different photo sharing sites do you use, Chester?

HÃ¥kan, Three, I began with Yahoo, it has a bit of everything on it. Then the Fotki site is basically only modeling. The Flicker site has very little in the way of organizational properties but you can directly link to photos and get the large photos on it. I keep old structures on it and photos I want to post without a link. And they're all free (he says as he pinches the poor indian to tears)

Well here's kind of an in progress and finished post together. I picked up some of Sylvan Scale's new products at the train show last weekend. Among them the 1938 Ford "round nose" cabover. I dove right into this one. This is the kit with partial chassis assembly. And the model complete with a scratch built wrecker unit.

Did they really look like that back then? It's a bit Flash Gordon, don't you think? Lovely work, a charming piece altogether.

Chester, This "Art Deco" Ford is a beauty anyway you look at it. You are fortunate to have it, I must wait awhile. Thanks for sharing what I consider to be one of Fords best looking trucks, and as always, you did a beautiful job. Jerry
