Thanks much. Barnaba, the scenery is outside behind my house. I had a hard time with these since I hung the Sinclair sign (decals I made and applied to a brass circle) from chains and the wind kept blowing it sideways.

Another fantastic job Chester. What happened to the stove? I hope it isn't inside where it can't be seen.

Well it seems that everything I touch these days is getting rust on them and I wanted to do something shiney new too so here's a combination of rusty/shiney: static.flickr.com/49/150534954_d15ceffd07_o.jpgAthearn Mack, stripped and repainted with the Boley refuse roll-off body that has been modified.

Thanks guys, I really wanted to dent the sides of the container up but I went a little too far with the soldering iron on the other side. I may scratchbuild the container out of styrene and line it with brass foil to give the bulging look to the panels. Any other ideas would be welcome. Of course the container comes off and the hydraulics from the Boley piece are still working. I did replace that huge arm from Boley with a hook and cable and will put a small frame mounted winch on it.

Chester, That container looks like it has seen heavy service like roofing demolition. Maybe you can weld in a patch on the heavily damaged side then send it back out to a Fesmire Contracting jobsite for another Blue Tarp Special www.1-87vehicles.org/photo281/stakebed.phpDave

I think the idea of using a brass foil would be perfect to give the bulging look, but you need a very thin foil.

Wow, that last grainy shot looks very genuine indeed. Nice diorama all around.
You could also do something that looks like one of those old color pictures, with the lower quality and slightly yellow tint.
