Chester, Nice work on the Plymouth. Those wheels get it higher off the ground and make it look much more prototypical, even without the conical wheel covers.
Great diorama also. Details like the boot on the tank deck "tell a story".

Dear Chester:
Congratulations on the Plymouth. As it was post elesewhere. some so-called 'crude' items can be converted to terrific items by talented individuals such as yourself. One of the reasons why I do not call a piece 'toy' very often.
Best Regards,
Nick K

That is one cool model. I especially like the wheels, fenders, and all of the metallic details. The more I look the more there is to see and like, example being the red / white reflective safety striping. You have a fortunate friend.

Or maybe your friend was thinking about this model:

Chester, I have been thinking over an open bottle of Tenax and have arrived at an explanation of how your fine truck model is, in fact, a milk truck. You see, the oil field workers have become accustomed to the finer things of life and the Roach Coach as we knew it is old school. Your model is an oil field service truck, and the encased equipment and tank is a Latte' maker Dave

Good looking custom, Chester. Nice work with the colors, too.

Chester, Those colors are brilliant. For a 1:1 street rod that paint job alone would cost thousands. I appreciate your varied and creative approach to modeling.

Thanks fellas, I discovered that if I get the paint from the rattle can into a bottle for my airbrush (some tape and a straw) it is much more managable going on the model. The gold (leaf?) is a lacquer from a craft store.

Seeing that Chevy makes my fingers itch - with a lowered roof, that Sylvain kit could become killer. Of course, I don't reckon I could come anywhere near that paint job.

Very nice (although I did moan about the wheels...). I must find myself one of those little Uraniwa kits.
