Hi all,
As some are aware I live in New Zealand. We don;t get alot of 1:87 models if we do they are used in HO trains which is very big here. My passion is 1:87 dioramas. I'm trying to build a small town. I have started building a shell service station - it is being made of light weight card and I am being helped by my girlfriend who is an architect (makes life much easier) My digital camera is currently broken so I will upload pics when I get a chance, I also have a plain white herpa mercedes cab chassis ambulance I am going to sticker up in New Zealand regional ambulance colours. Look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
Regards Kiwinick

well the service station is currently on hold while I attend to building some vehicles. I have nearly completed my Mercedes fire tanker unit and have a scania fire tender on the way. It is a cararama mercedes with a tin foil tank, battery box and exhaust are from athern kenny, fuel tank and extinguisher from tamiya and the rear hose tap is the tow bar turned upside down. It needs be be painted yet. What do you think for a first go? Don't know how to post images from myspace from go take a look see spaces.msn.com/members/205garage/Cheers Nick

Very nice, good luck with the Scania. Myself, I started with building wreck, as it seemed very easy. What are the most common trucks in NZ?

Hi Skunk,
Fire trucks are either scania or japanese (mitsubishi), Biggest truck seller is ERF, lots of mercs, some americans such as kenny, mack and so on. I am putting the finishing touches to a st john ambulance at the moment so pics will be posted shortly.
Cheers Nick
