Here are two things I have been working on for some time: This is a Ferrari engined Simca. This pic is a bit old, the front clip has been finished and work on a fitted rollcage is progressing slowly. Also the trunklid (front) has been equipped with an enormous scalloped opening for better cooling. Windtunnel testing will begin shortly. This is obviously a Rietze Samurai, which is slowly turning into a Maruti Gypsy King Hardtop. I am quite proud of the homemade front grill, with a Maruti logo and everything. The fenders have been widened since I took this picture (xmas 2003, goes to show how much time I have for modelling...). I am right now building new rims for it.

Oh, and many thanks to Christian for hosting these pictures on my behalf - less than fifteen minutes after I asked him to!
I really have to get a website of my own, asap.

I really, really like this workbench idea.
Does the Simca still have its original paint? How does the plastic stick to the fenders?
The Maruti ... great idea! Did you fill/sand the window frame?

The Simca retains areas which are still metallic gray (roof, driver's doors, random spots). The plastic is mainly superglued to the body, which I filed flat to get a good surface. Some parts are attached with a hot knife blade. I had to work on the window frame as it had some notches and scratches. The Maruti might be a good candidate for casting? It is exactly similar to a Samurai LWB, although I am making mine RHD.

And well you should be proud of that grille, a fine bit of sculpting. Let us know how the wind tunnel tests come out.
