I guess I'm on a roll here, inspired by all that I saw at Springfield. This GMC steel tilt cab is indicative of just how clean and crisp the castings that come from Ralph Ratcliffe are. I've mounted this on the chassis from an old Roco Miniatur Steyr91 (anybody want a Steyr 91 cab?). Those are Ralph's unbelievable wheel/tire combo too. I'm making this into what is referred to as an asphalt distribution sprayer for hot topping under coating. The tank, motor, rad and stake bed are all from the parts box and everything's just sitting there for now. I just have a feeling this is really going to get gunked up.

Gunked up indeed. I know the smell of being stuck behind one these vehicles, and I expect you to be able to recreate it perfectly in 87th scale.
And that casting is the bee's knees. Or maybe the cat's pyjamas, I dunno.

Bee's knees, cats a__ who knows? I know it's got my attention. I messed with the cab today and haven't done lights or mirrors but this is how she'll appear (well, maybe a little more gunk)

Nice, the off-color door really adds liveliness.

Great idea for Ralph's cab and again a wonderful weathering job! I have one but I'm struggling with which vocational subject it will be used for.
Can't wait to see the rest of the gunk treatment. Richard O.

Any of you RR buffs out there will recognize the name Brian Bollinger of BEST Model Trains (www.besttrains.com)and their line of really wonderful craftsmans structure kits. Brian approached me about providing vehicles that he will offer with his "Harry's Garage" service station kit. These Sylvan '37 Chevy's are the first of his "fleet". I was really happy with the way the decals came out that I made and put on the Testors clear decal paper. All of the wrecker units will be scratch built but a little simpler than what I've been making.

Man! Been a while since I put any in progress shot up eh? Well here's a pretty basic kibash of the Jordan 34 Ford school bus with a scratch built moving van body.
