Presentation of the Volvo PV 445 Duett Panel Van from 1950 : The Swiss company MZZ sold under here own name the 1950 Volvo PV 445 Duett Panel Van that LM&H ( Larssons, Maski & Hobby ) released in 1980 as a 1/87 model. Larrsons, Maski & Hobby was a company from Sweden. MZZ even used the same reference number ( 116-002 ). You still can see the LM&H logo on the bottom off the baseplate. The white metal model is really nice but you have to do a lot of cleaning. Surprisingly the model has even a driver figure. The model on the pictures has already been slightly cleaned.

Michelle, I figured out that there was some additional code between the .jpg part and the [/img which needed to be deleted. Thanks for the photos!

Thanks for correcting the photo links.
I would like to know when Praline has started doing the Volvo PV 544.
And does anybody know when Busch took over the Praline forms to sell them under their own brand.
Thanks a lot.

Small presentation of one of the very few Volvo PV 444 which have been done in 1:87 It is a white metal kit made in the early 1980's by Walldorf Mini. The kit has the following parts : - the body
- the base with a very basic interior
- the wheels
- the windows
The finish of the casted model is well below the quality of a few other Walldorf Mini models I do know off. The line of the hood is too low. The bigger rear window tells us that it is a Volvo PV 444 H/HS from 1954. The earlier models had a smaller split window.

Thanks for the pictures, Michelle. One would have to really like Volvos to get this particular model, huh?
Speaking of which, do you own the 264 TE you use for your mo87 avatar? If so, you are deserving of praise, admiration and envy.

Well you know, it is always a love affair with cars. Otherwise you wouldn't buy 'em. Or you just buy everything. Not my way. And yes the Volvo 264 TE from 1982 is my own. It belonged to the GDR. But sadly enough I have to sell it because I'm jobless for over 2 years already. I do need $$$.

Except for the hood I don't find the Walldorf model so awful, considering that the master was built in the early 70s and from scratch. Thanks for the presentation Michelle.

I never sad that the model is awful. What I wanted to say is that the quality of the casting is not as clean as of other Walldorf Mini miniatures I have seen so far. On this Volvo you have to clean some surplus of the casting process which you don't have on other models of the same brand.

I know, but skunk did. But I am generally rather forgiving when it comes to handmade stuff. Offhand I don't think I have that model in my collection, it's certainly one of the rarer Walldorf kits.

It has been a while since my last post in this forum. But I would like to share with you my new homepage dedicated to the Volvo's. Because the former website minivolvo.fr sadly shut down last year, I created my own new site : www.minivolvo.luYou can find a Volvo scale model car database that lists a little over 4000 references at the moment. Enjoy
