Why skunk, I am surprised at you. Barm is a good German word for Barman. Now how you use that in making molds, I don't know. ;D

I had looked it up in the dictionary and it seems I took a wrong turn. Wahat I meant was baker's yeast, barm seems to be another word for brewer's yeast.

Yeast in the silicone? That works? My loaves always swell more in the middle, I imagine that this holds true for modelcars also.

Of course! The only trick is a model under 1/87 scale that has been so badly done by the producer that it looks like its half done with imploding. But so far I haven't been able to find such a model.

Hey only87,would you be interested in selling me a few castings of the Fuso cab in HO scale?I have hunted high and low for one in HO,but no luck,Tomytec make a real nice N scale one but Im after some in HO for my truck collection. This way of "blowing up" the original seems to be the way to go if its not available in the preferred scale. If you can help I would be most appreciative.

Depends on which one you're talking about. The one earlier in this thread is still in the projects stage and I haven't yet made any castings of it. The only Fuso I have available at this point is Fuso Super Great, pic here: 87thscale.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Tradebuysellswap&thread=1313&page=2#33274I have already tried to blow up a casting of a Tomytec truck, but failed. The problem was that the casting mold doesn't expand indefinately, so I had to use a two-step method. The first step worked out ok, with a wider understanding of the term, but after the second run using the first and already a bit deformed casting the results were not usable at all. So for a Tomytec N-scale vehicle you gotta plan in the serious reshaping and bending process twice. The work you put into that does at least equal the amount of work of building the model from scratch, so I wouldn't advise that. Especially since reshaping is a bit trickier than shaping somthing from scratch, at least for some it is. I'm still eager to try it once again some time, but that's only for the fun of it.

Id be interested in the earlier model Fuso (FV113),that you blew up from the kingstar model if you get them to a saleable stage.
