The AHM vehicles were a little on the crude side. I also seem to remember that they were really larger than 1/87th scale.

Ne Jamais Contente: The first car to break the 100km/h barrier. Looking at the construction of this car, I have more respect for Camille Jenatzy than for whoever it was that first broke the sound barrier on the ground...
It was electric, too. The GM Impact wasn't the first sporty electric.

Has anyone seen any models of early electrics? The trucks were very different from anything else I have ever seen. The cab sat way up in the air.

A very unusual vehicle. I would have to order it from Germany as both the US distributers listed on their website do not see fit to stock them. But one of the distibuters has a shop only a couple of miles from me so we are going to have to go visit. Thanks only87 for pointing out the company. Some nice aftermarket photoetching parts.

Hauler makes pe aftermarket stuff for the M953 5 ton and the duece and a half that is really nice. The sprue has a lot of things that can be used for a variety of vehicles like lights, windshield wipers (very fine) and see through grating (extremely fine, great grille material). I have also purchased the patterned steel plating that comes in 3 different patterns. The diamond plate is every bit as good as Plano and the circle pattern is perfect for making exhaust guard for truck stacks. Other pe stuff that I have been very satisfied with from them includes Tiger tank track and chains.

Looking a the website Christian posted, I am guessing that the models are metal etched. Beautiful, but expensive. I see that they have some interesting architectural details also.

Dear Sirs:
I heard - vaguely - of the make from Christian's site. It is nice to know that someone modeled it and not only that but that model looks real good.

On_Trak seems to be in full production. I just ordered four models from them and two were backordered. I asked how long and they replied about a week. I think that they are now part of the Deben LLC group.

Lee, Thanks but I only just now placed an order through the Deben LLC folks. After a google on the on trak stuff I came up with their site. Convenient to be able to place an order with paypal too. Ordered the 1909 White and the IH KB8 (gotta be better than the Imex piece).
